RANK/XEROX "Self-Titled" LP

Debut album from San Francisco post-punkers Rank/Xerox. The album follows a now-out of print four-song 7" and a split cassette with Grass Widow. The sound is one of post-punk tension, messy but vaguely pop in a fractured fashion, guitar scratchers and synth screamers.

The record inhabits darker, danker spaces than previously, damaged dirges seep out from a confused consciousness, and are stared down by obtuse ragers and disorienting excursions into the synth zone.

The LP was recorded in a Chinatown dungeon by San Francisco luminaries Eric Bauer (aka King Riff) and Ty Segall.
